2002 - 2005

EDS Machine In December 2001, Logplan was selected to develop a system for 100% explosive detection screening of checked baggage. The project at Denver included the evaluation of alternative locations, recommendation of solutions, detailed design, supporting the airport with the coordination of airline tenants, supporting the airport interface with the TSA, bid specifications, detailed bid documents, construction management, commissioning, and system testing.

Barcode Scanner Array The airport began using the automated in-line system in June 2003 with the first terminal module. The last module to go live was Module 3 West in June 2005. The screening system as designed and installed allows for changes in equipment and protocols for up to a five level system. Due to the system's advanced design and flexibility, the TSA has designated the system located in Module 3 East as a test site for in-line automated EDS / baggage handling systems.

Additional baggage handling system projects performed for Denver International Airport include:

1996 - present

Technical support and planning for the entire Denver BHS system. Logplan is also currently conducting feasibility and evaluation studies for future expansion and renovation of Denver's current baggage handling system.

1994 - 1995

In 1994, Denver contracted Logplan to build an alternate system when problems with the original automated baggage system were causing costly delays with the opening of the airport. The alternate conventional baggage handling system that Logplan developed allowed Denver International Airport to open successfully and is still the major system in use today.
