San Francisco International Airport (USA)
1998 - 2001
To accommodate anticipated growth, the Airport Commission of San Francisco International Airport undertook a major expansion
program to increase the capacity of the Airport. A number of projects aimed at increasing landside capacity had been identified
including the Airport Rail Transit system.
Logplan was part of the technical certification team which conducted the technical analysis of the system. The certification team provided safety reports and an analysis of the system operating scenarios which included contingency modes of the Airport Rail Transit System and the radio based train control system. The APM successfully went into revenue service in 2003.
