Beginning in 1996, Logplan worked with Zürich International Airport to develop and implement a new People Mover system for
the connection of the new Dock E and Airside-Center. This project was exceptional because the system was one of the first
to use cable drawn cars for pinched loop application.
Logplan analyzed possible options, developed the technical requirements for this system, developed the technical specifications for the tender documents, conducted the evaluation of bids and engaged in the supplier contract negotiations for this project. During the Design Review phase, Logplan ensured that the supplier design met all technical specification requirements and verified that compliance with applicable national and international codes were maintained.
Logplan was also responsible for managing the implementation of the system and coordination of the project certification process with the local authorities until the project's completion at the end of 2004.
