Transfer Baggage Screening Terminal 1

2004 - present

Baggage Screening System In 2004, Fraport AG contracted Logplan to support the conceptual design and planning of the new transfer baggage in-line screening system for Frankfurt International Airport. The system contains two segments:

  • Transfer Center A (TZA) required the design of a system which has three fully automated level 1-2 screening machines and one manual screening level 3 inspection area.
  • Transfer Hall 3 Apron Area (V3) Required the design of a system which has seven fully automated level 1-2 screening machines and one manual screening level 3 inspection area.

Transfer Baggage Screening Terminal 2

2006 - present

Logplan was requested in 2006 for planning the 100% Non-EU transfer baggage screening system for Terminal 2. The system includes four inter-line Level 1-2 screening stations with no dedicated Level 3b manual examination screening areas. The system layout required that the system make common use of the level three manual screening areas from Terminal 1 which was built within the scope of the contract for 100% checked baggage screening.

For the Terminal 2 transfer baggage screening system, Logplan provided the conceptual design and tender documents. Logplan currently provides project management support. Logplan has been responsible for the planning, tender document creation, supplier selection and project oversight for this system.
