Passenger Flow and Process Simulation Tool In order to test a new transportable security checkpoint concept that would be an alternative to a fixed passenger-screening checkpoint, Smiths Detection contracted Logplan to provide a simulation tool. The simulation tool is able to accurately determine the capacity for different layouts, screening machine configurations and process configurations. In addition, the tool takes into consideration changes in personnel and shift scheduling. This simulation tool lends itself to the basis for fixed facility check points.
