Bergen International Airport (Norway)
Optimized Passenger Screening Check-Point
2007
To comply with new security requirements as well as increase throughput and flexibility, Bergen Airport developed a new passenger and carry-on baggage screening layout.
In an effort to verify that the layout as designed would meet the capacity and security requirements of the airport, Bergen Airport contracted with Logplan to conduct a study to verify the passenger screening system design and provide its comments and recommendations. The verification was conducted using a customized simulation of the proposed passenger screening layout and processes.
The results of the study included modifications to the layout and process steps that would increase the throughput and flexibility of the entire passenger screening system. Bergen implemented Logplan's layout recommendations and has installed the system.
