Logplan completed an advanced simulation tool for system optimization and failure mode planning for the APM system at Denver International Airport (DIA). This tool will enable DIA to more efficiently test and evaluate operating scenarios of the current system as well as prepare capacity optimization plans for possible future system expansion. The tool provides the airport with the ability to view the effects of failure mode plans on the system during emergency situations and passenger flow on station platforms. This model is currently being used by the airport's master plan team to analyze operation scenarios out to 2030.
