Passenger Flow and Layout Evaluation

In order to compete with other rapidly growing airports in Moscow, Vnukovo International Airport was currently planning a
new terminal building called Vnukovo 1. In association with the design team led by Obermeyer Planen + Beraten, Logplan was
requested to provide a design review of the current layout and all processes. Logplan conducted the design review with the
use of a passenger flow simulation to verify the validity of the layout, level of service and capacity.
The review identified potential bottlenecks in passenger flow, security processes, baggage handling system, in-line screening system and check-in processes.
