Services Provided

Specification Preparation, Technical Procurement Support, Testing and Commissioning for New Vehicle Acquisition

Project Overview

The DEN automated guideway transportation system (AGTS) that connects the terminal to the concourses has been in service for an excess of 28 years and the fleet of vehicles are all approaching the end of life. Bombardier Transportation initially was not offering operators a compatible replacement vehicle for the existing systems.

Logplan was instrumental in working with Bombardier to develop a vehicle that would have the latest technology but installed on a chassis that would fit on existing systems. Further, DEN retained Logplan to develop the specification to procure 26 of these new vehicles. Logplan went on to support DEN with the initial procurement and is actively providing the technical review and testing verification.

The vehicles will begin arriving at DEN to start their extensive on-site testing in the second half of 2023. All 26 units are scheduled to be in service by the end of 2024. As the new vehicle come online, the existing fleet will be retired. Bombardier Transportation was sold to Alstom in January 2021.
