Project Overview
Will Rogers International Airport initiated a baggage claim replacement project, which Logplan completed in 2025 as part of a team led by Parkhill. Following successful completion of the inbound project, OKC has asked Logplan to provide additional design services for a ticket counter replacement and a BHS high level controls (HLC) and low-level controls (LLC) recontrol project.
Project 1 - Inbound BHS Design
The existing claim devices were identified as nearing end of life. Logplan progressed through a BHS design for the entire inbound system, including six (6) flat plate claim devices, twelve (12) security doors, and six (6) motor control panels. The design was completed and submitted for open bid in late 2024.
Project 2 – Ticket Counter BHS Design
The existing ticket counter belts and main line feed conveyors had been in service since 2001. Logplan designed replacement ticket counter conveyor systems and recommended BHS maintenance improvements, including man doors, lighting, and access panels, to improve long-term maintainability.
Project 3 - BHS Controls – HLC and LLC Recontrol
Logplan conducted a site survey of the existing BHS. It was determined the HLC and LLC BHS controls were not performing as designed. Logplan is supporting the airport through the procurement and contractor selection process for the controls recontrol project. This included scope definition, procurement support, onsite interviews, submittal review, and ISAT testing.
